Cinnamon pencil stripes on a pale linen ground. The warm red-brown is clear against the pale ground without being stark. Up close the woven texture shows, with flecks of linen breaking through the stripe.

Layout: Vertical stripes run the full height on a plain ground, very slightly uneven in spacing, as in a woven cloth. Adjacent lengths hang level.

Values: Two colours, ground and stripe, both printed with a woven texture; flecks of the ground colour show through the stripe.

Edge: Clean, with a slightly serrated outline where individual threads end. The blue and brown bands of the original are reduced to one repeating stripe and recoloured.

A short, dense pile with a velvet-like surface on a firm woven ground. Fine striations catch the light as it moves across the room, deepening the colour. Substantial weight keeps a clean line on upholstery and gives tailored drapery a decisive fall.

Cotton Linen
A fine, even linen-cotton weave. Colour prints cleanly while the woven surface remains visible, keeping solid grounds from going flat without softening fine linework. Light in the hand, it falls in narrow, supple folds and filters light rather than blocking it.
